Welcome to Normanville Getaway, your home away from home. The house is located only 200 metres back from Normanville and Carrickalinga beaches with views of the Fleurieu Coast from the balcony.
Our house is beautifully appointed with all the mod cons to make your stay carefree and enjoyable. The kitchen is fully equipped with filtered water from the kitchen tap, many appliances such as filtered coffee machine, microwave, sandwich press, blender, kettle and toaster. The appliances are located in the pantry.
Relax upstairs with a comfy lounge, large flat screen and electric fireplace for winter evenings. There is Chromecast to the living room and master bedroom and Netflix is also available. Take in the country views from the balcony, with a large dining table, lounge area and Weber electric BBQ, which cooks sensational steaks and sausages! You can even watch the galahs in the adjacent tree in the evening.
Local shops, Drakes Foodland supermarket, Little Sister Cafe, Mare Bello takeaway pizza and the Normanville Pub are all walking distance from the house.
We hope you enjoy your stay at Normanville Getaway and that you fall in love with the beautiful Fleurieu Coast as much as we have.
Our aim is to provide you with the most luxurious place to stay in the Fleurieu Coast with everything that you need to make your stay perfect. We want to create lasting memories for you and hope to see you return again to the area to explore and experience new things.
We chose this location because of the magnificent Moreton Bay Fig Tree growing at the front of the house. The Moreton Bay Fig Trees along Jetty Road are a little over 100 years old now.
Each tree was planted in 1915 by the local council to represent soldiers that volunteered from the Normanville and Yankalilla areas to fight in the ANZAC war in Gallipoli. Many of these soldiers never returned.
The Moreton Bay Fig Trees growing along Jetty Road celebrated their 100 Year Anniversary of planting in 2015. Our particular Moreton Bay Fig Tree is very special to us and a symbol of all soldiers who have fought for Australia over many years and to those who sacrificed their lives.
The tree is a favourite resting and nesting spot for the local Galah population, as well as other birdlife in the area. It also provides cool shade in the summer months as well as shelter from winter weather. We hope you enjoy “Moreton” as much as we do.
We pride ourselves on a five star stay, and our aim to leave you with wonderful memories and great experiences.
